Kingdom Dominion Authority & Praise

The Language Of Praise

I am so excited about sharing this principle of kingdom dominion. This has been stirring in my spirit for quite a while now and I believe that this is the time for me to share it. I pray that it blesses you as it has me.

Finding a place to start when dealing with giving God praise in any manner is almost difficult. I say that in a good way because when thinking about how much God has done for you, praise becomes natural, rich and full. And before you know it, you are overflowing with joy and can hardly contain your emotions. So, I will do my best to write clearly what is in my heart. If I go off on a tangent, please charge it to my heart and not my head.  In getting started, I will need to add a sub subject because that is where I want to start.

The Language Of Praise

Most good meals start with a great appetizer, so its only befitting that I start this “WordFest” just so.

What I am about to present to you will radically change the way you utter thanks-giving and praise to the God that you serve.

I will start with this morsel of enlightenment. The word “Merci” in todays’ French language means “thank you” in English. But its’ original meaning is the more accu-rate form of the word meaning “mercy”.

Here’s a little background on the word “merci” to help you understand what I’m about to share with you.

late 12c., "God's forgiveness of his creatures' offenses," from Old French mercit, merci (9c.) "reward, gift; kindness, grace, pity," from Lat-in mercedem (nominative merces) "reward, wages, pay hire" (in Vulgar Latin "favor, pity"), from merx (genitive mercis) "wares, merchandise" (see market (n.)). In Church Latin (6c.) applied to the heavenly reward of those who show kindness to the helpless.

Meaning "disposition to forgive or show compassion" is attested from early 13c. As an interjection, attested from mid-13c.

Now similarly, the Spanish word “gracias” has some of the same meanings used in the word “merci”.

Here’s the background on the word “grace” of which “gracias” is a form of.

late 12c., "God's unmerited favor, love, or help," from Old French grace "pardon, divine grace, mercy; favor, thanks; elegance, virtue" (12c., Modern French grâce), from Latin gratia "favor, esteem, regard; pleasing quality, good will, gratitude" (source of Italian grazia, Spanish gracia; in Church use translating Greek kharisma), from gratus "pleasing, agreeable," from PIE *gwreto-, suffixed form of root *gwere- (2) "to favor."

“Online Etymology Dictionary.” Index, Douglas Harper, 2001, www.etymonline.com/.

Now, if you closely examine both descriptive backgrounds of both words, you will see that “mercy” and “grace” is the common thread linking them both together.

When a person says thank you in either language, they are literally saying to the grantor of such favor or gift, “mercy and grace”.

Now let’s put it together. When you tell God thank you, there is an immediate ex-change given and taken. He receives your actual verbal utterance of appreciation and gratitude and in turn simultaneously gives you in return “mercy and grace”. You said “thank you” and He heard your request for mercy and grace and His response to you is “mercy and grace.”

Every time you say thank you, He hears a plea for mercy and grace. Without His mercy and grace, you couldn’t have an audience with the King. He would not hear you without mercy and grace being firstly extended to you so that your request can be make known, heard and granted. This is why it is so very important that we understand that our praise and thanksgiving to Him should not be reduced to a reluctant urging from a group or team of people or any one individual in a gathering of His people in worship and fellowship. Even when you are going through adversity, there should be no mediocre effort on your part to praise Him. Your praise comes from the personal communication that you have with God and the only language He understands is praise! There is no begging involved in praising. There is no disenchantment, anger, bitterness, resentfulness, sadness or hesitancy involved in praising. It springs forth from a enlighten soul and mind. One with a heart full of gratitude and joy. Sure, there will be times when adversity is knocking at your door and your trials seems unbearable, but that has nothing to do with your praise. You shouldn’t be coming to Him talking about it’s a sacrifice to give Him praise. There may be tears of sadness flowing down your cheeks, but you will still be praising Him in your heart. There may be pain in your body and every movement is a challenge and even when talking hurts, but there still will be praise deep down from within bubbling out of the wells of salvation, the living waters that flow out of your belly spiritually because you know that God hears even your heart speaking in gratitude every time you say thank you. And He promises to answer you with mercy and grace. Herewith, your prayers are answered and His promises fulfilled without questions! The manifestation of what you asked Him for is the “mercy and grace” He heard you ask for when you simply said “thank you”.

He will perform His Word and He will bring it to pass because He’s a God of mercy, full of mercy and grace and ready to show it towards you. Even His promises is an act of His mercy and grace. His covenants are the results of the love, mercy and grace that He has on us, even mankind as a whole. His mercy and grace is overwhelmingly incomprehensible and defies a reason why other than His Love for us. And even that, cannot be explained. We may make feeble attempts to understand His Love but just trying to digest what I just shared with you is phenomenal and mind blowing!

That’s why He said to be thankful unto Him and to bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100:4b-5. KJV.

Speak His language, just say “thank you”.

"The key to the heart of God is in your praise to Him."

Kingdom Dominion Authority & Entrepreneurship

One of the greatest gifts aside of God giving us Himself in love, is the gift of entrepreneurship to mankind. When God created Adam and placed him in Eden, He gave Adam four specific instructions. Be fruitful, multiply and have dominion (take charge and subdue). Sounds like management to me. The fourth one had to do with what he couldn't do and that was which tree he couldn't eat from. But these three had to do with what he could do. Notice, before He even gave him a wife and children, God gave him the command to work and a place to work in. Adam was a gardener. I notice that there were no headquarter or regional offices, no corporations or Wall Streets in the garden; so how was he going to sustain himself? How could he fulfill the command to work when there was no one to hire him? Who was going to train him or show him the ropes?

Isn't it amazing that Adam knew what to do and how to do it? God is truly amazing! First, He makes a master plan that included man. Then He creates the man and breathe into him life and intelligence. He blesses all them that would come from Adam before they were even thought of. Notice, in Scripture it says: "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him, male and female created He them. (Eve was already in Adam), parenthesis is my addition....And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." Genesis 1:26-28

So, every human being that was to come from Adam was blessed and given the assignment to be fruitful, multiply, replenish and have dominion. Because God blessed them and willed it so, every human being has the innate ability to do two things. One is to recognize truth when they hear it. God created man with a void that could only be filled by Him, and with the natural ability to discern truth. Yes, even from a child. A child learns to lie naturally. How is that? Because their spirits are made in the image of God and God is Ultimate Truth and the sin nature is dominant so it dictates to the unregenerated spirit of man to cover up or hide. The other thing we innately know how to do is work. Most often parents can try and teach their children how to do a thing, but most of the learning comes from observation. The child can imitate precisely what he/she observes. That's why it's important to watch how we live in front of our children. They will do what they see you do.

And it comes naturally. But only because God created us with the ability to do and replicate what we see. So Adam observed what God did in the garden and his job was to keep it that way. God would direct Adam by His Spirit and Adam would do what he saw and understood. As long as he did what he saw, he would get the rewards and results that came with that. His job was easy in the beginning. Only in disobedience did work become hard and laborious. I don't have to recount the fall in the garden, you know the story. But instead of enjoying work, man had to work harder for what he got in return. But notice, even after the fall, man still knew how to work and earn his keep. He also learned how to take care of flocks and herds. Growing flowers, fruits, grains and vegetables, tilling the land to make it grow better. Irrigating the land for water and timing the seasons to grow food by the cycle of the moon and sun. He also learned how to negotiate and barter. Exchanging goods for services and goodwill. There were many sheepherders and farmers in that time, and they became wealthy by doing just what came natural to them. What am I getting at? Entrepreneurship in its' rarest and finest form. That truly is a gift from God to man. Notice how God never intended for us to be slaves to anyone or anything. He created us with free will to make choices, and to earn a living for giving. The more you give, the more He multiplies. There is a principle for giving that God set in order to bless us all. And He made it possible for all of us to be wealthy enough or successful enough to be givers. Free and cheerful givers. When you can call your own time and paycheck, that's a freedom that cannot be bought and it's priceless. You determine how much you make by how much you work. You never have to be a slave to anyone. God doesn't intend for His people to be slave to the worlds' system and ways of commerce. How many of us could appreciate the freedom to come and go when you wanted to and never worry about being broke or in between blessings?

Unfortunately, many of us will never live on that plateau, but that doesn't mean that God willed you to take a vow of poverty either. While all of us have the gift, many of us don't know that we possess it or don't know how to use it. But, look at the multiplicity of companies out there that turn out wealthy entrepreneurs or business owners just by following a system. If you can follow directions, you can be your own boss! Why live beneath your privileges? Even those that are unemployable by todays' standard of society. You don't ever have to be without a job. Create your own job!!

Every man has the ability to make his own living and no one can ever take that away from him. Just do the right thing, and the right thing will take care of you.

Hats off to the many women who own their businesses, especially those who are mothers. Let's hear it for the many men who take good care of their families and leave business and inheritances for their children to carry own. That's a God given privilege and gift that we should never take for granted. If the enemy of our souls would keep us down, it will be in this area because he knows that the freedom to give and have to give will cause the windows of heaven to constantly be opened to us and there is nothing that we cannot accomplish for the kingdom of God.

So let's walk in this kingdom dominion and authority. Let's be the heads and not the tails. Let's be above and not beneath. Let's be lenders and not borrowers. It's your God given right and gift, so live in it!
